Advanced Family Dentistry is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Jessica Wertz to our practice. Dr. Wertz is a magna cum laude graduate from Marquette University with both a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences and a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish. She went on to Marquette University School of Dentistry and graduated cum laude in 2022. Following graduation she furthered her education by completing a general practice residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wertz was born and raised in Wisconsin, and is excited to be returning home. Please join us in welcoming her to our practice!

With over 50 years of combined experience, our hygienists Deb and Michele feel privileged to be involved in assisting our patients to develop and maintain excellent oral health. By educating and caring for each patient they see, lasting relationships are formed. They feel fortunate to be working in an office that keeps current with new technology and to have the opportunity to work for great doctors. Besides, Deb and Michele enjoy working with the staff that is kind, caring, and dedicated to their jobs.

The primary concern of our dental assistants is patient care. Michelle and Jessie are responsible for preparing patients for treatment and also aiding the doctor. Our assistants enjoy getting to know our patients as individuals, which often results in lasting friendships. You'll find the latest technology in digital x-rays and sterilization procedures. We make your visit a positive experience from routine to complex cases.
Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Michael J. Wertz, D.D.S and Dr. Kim Tran-Wertz, D.D.S have been offering comprehensive dental services to the Watertown, WI community since 1997. Both are graduates of Marquette University and members of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Watertown Chamber of Commerce. Our office specializes in providing family dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics (tooth replacement) and orthodontics in a sensitive, caring manner for children and adults. Dr. Wertz and our dedicated staff believe our patients deserve the very best care. Our patients appreciate how gentle he is and how he takes the time to educate them regarding their oral health.
Advanced Family Dentistry, S.C. is very fortunate to have our prosthodontist, Kim Tran-Wertz D.D.S., M.S. on staff. She is currently part of the Cleft Palate team at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Kim has worked with speech pathologists and therapists providing prosthetic treatments. Additionally, she has worked with area oncologists and surgeons to provide prosthetic replacements of oral facial defects. Besides, she has been an assistant professor in the graduate prosthodontics program at Marquette University School of Dentistry
